Four Robbers Legend
Around 600 years ago, says a legend, four men were robbing the belongings of people affected with the plague without getting infected. When they were finally caught, they were asked to reveal their secret to avoid the contagious. They revealed, in exchange for lowering the punishment, that they bathed themselves in apple cider vinegar and a mix of herbs including lavender, peppermint, sage, rosemary and thyme.
The first time I read this story I was quite curious about its efficacy and I tested their formula with a few tweaks for making a mosquito repellent. It worked wonders. I can confidently say it because I get an allergic reaction for every mosquito bite. Check below the recipe I used.
Inspired by this story comes our new Four Robbers Secret Soap made with certified-organic extra virgin olive and coconut oils and with added: lavender buds, and lavender, rosemary, peppermint and thyme essential oils. I cannot say that it will keep the plague away but for sure you will bath in a divine smell.
